Patience Oranika

Patience Oranika, Ed.D., serves as the Alabama Teacher Mentoring Specialist at the Alabama Department of Education since June 2013, overseeing the statewide Alabama Teacher Mentoring Program and managing a $3 million budget while providing training and data support for educator preparation accountability. Previously, Patience held roles as Education Specialist in the Office of Innovation and Evaluation, an Adjunct Professor at Auburn University at Montgomery, District Reading Coach, and Teacher within the Montgomery Public School System. Patience's educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Education Leadership, Policy and Law from Alabama State University, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery, a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of the District of Columbia, and a Bachelor's degree in English and Literature from the University of Benin.
