Shane Colquhoun

Shane Colquhoun, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Music Technology and Contemporary Musical Styles at Alabama State University and as a Course Facilitator at Longy School of Music. Prior to these roles, Shane held the position of Director of Educational Partnerships at Breaker Nation and was the Band Director at Lochapoka High School, where a substantial growth of the band program was achieved from 7 to over 70 members. Shane has developed various educational programs, maintained budgeting activities, and has been recognized as Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Music Education, a Master of Education in Higher Education, a Master of Education in Music Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology and Business, all from Auburn University and Bethune-Cookman University.
