Project Engineer, EHS at Alabama Technology Network

Project Engineer - Environmental, Health, and Safety at Alabama Technology Network (ATN), where Dean works to develop and conduct training and technical assistance activities for business and industry, particularly in the area of Environmental Health and Safety.

Dean has twenty years of experience of which, 10 years are in the Oil & Gas Industry and 10 years, are in the consulting of State, Municipal, and Industry in the fields of Emergency Response and, Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance. Within the last 14 years, he has held HSE Positions, both in the Continental US and Overseas.

Throughout his career, Dean has developed expertise in Industrial Safety Standards, OSHA Regulations, including the development of many Safety Management Systems, Training Programs, Emergency Response, Risk Management, and (ISO 14000, 14001, 9001) Program Assessments.

Prior to joining ATN, Dean was the HSE Coordinator for REHAU Automotive and responsible for the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management for the Cullman, Alabama Facility. While there, he was able to reduce their Total Recordable Incident Rate below the Industry average, through the revision and implementation of new training programs, and enhanced Heath and Safety Case Management, including international HSE Auditing of REHEA Facilities outside the United States, primarily the European Union.

A graduate from Columbia Southern University, Dean holds a degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
