Shannon Pettit

Shannon Pettit is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human resources and educational roles. At the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine since December 2008, Shannon has served as a Human Resources Generalist and Immigration Compliance Representative, managing a significant volume of immigration petitions and analyzing nonimmigrant employee files. In addition to these roles, Shannon has contributed to the Alachua County Emerging Leaders organization as an Ambassador, focusing on social events and member engagement. Shannon's background includes instructing first-year students at the University of Florida, interning at the Career Resource Center, and prior customer service roles at Publix and Winn Dixie. Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida, complementing previous academic achievements in Psychology and Education from the same institution.
