Nicole Xin

Community Health Advocate Intern at Alameda Health System

Nicole Xin has a diverse range of work experience. Nicole currently works as a Community Health Advocate at Alameda Health System. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at BEAM (Berkeley Engineers and Mentors), including Mentor Development Committee Lead, Mentor, and Staff on Mentor Development and Logistics. In addition, they have worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on researching lanthanide-dependent pathways and bioremediation methods. Nicole has also served as a Tournament Director at Golden Gate Science Olympiad. Nicole gained industry experience as a Discovery Immunology Intern in the Turley Lab at Genentech, where they focused on characterizing fibroblast subsets in the context of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Furthermore, they have volunteered as a Junior Auxiliary Volunteer and Junior Advisory Board Member at El Camino Health. Nicole has also held two summer internships at Fred Hutch, where they researched C. elegans' behavior, neural pathways, and environmental signals.

Nicole Xin's education history starts in 2016 when they attended Mountain View High School. Nicole completed their high school education in this institution from 2016 to 2020. Following this, they enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where they began their studies in 2020. Nicole is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an expected completion date in 2024.
