Valery Rizzo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in photography, design, and illustration. Valery began their career as a Freelance Illustrator for Polo Ralph Lauren Home Design in 1992 before transitioning to the role of Textile Artist at Polo Ralph Lauren™ in 1995. In 2002, Valery became a Content Contributor for Alamy and subsequently joined Getty Images in 2006 and Corbis in 2005, holding the same role of Content Contributor. Valery also served as a Staff Photographer for NonaBrooklyn from 2011 to 2014. Valery Rizzo Photography, their own venture, was established in 2009, where they worked as a Photographer and Editor specializing in commercial and editorial food, travel, and lifestyle photography. Additionally, Valery worked as a Content Contributor for Shutterstock in 2014 and Adobe in 2018. Most recently, in 2022, they joined KINTZING as a Photographer.

Valery Rizzo's education history begins in 1984 when they attended Pratt Institute. Valery graduated from Pratt Institute in 1988 with a B.F.A in Communication Design. In 1995, they returned to Pratt Institute for continuing education and studied courses such as Black & White Photography I and II, HTML and Web Design, Mac Computer Graphics, and Illustrator. From 1999 to 2001, Valery attended the School of Visual Arts where they focused on Travel and Location Photography and Intermediate Black and White Photography. Lastly, from 2000 to 2005, they enrolled in the International Center of Photography School and studied Studio Lighting, Strobe, Lighting, and Polaroid transfers.
