Stew Apelzin

Stew Apelzin has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Stew started their career as the President and Lead Designer of AMuse, Inc., where they developed interactive television programming and computer gaming. Apelzin then joined Sierra Online as the Chief Technical Officer, VP of Engineering, and Executive Producer, where they led the company's engineering activities and directed the development of computer games for PC and game consoles. Stew later co-founded Aperial Corp. and served as the Managing Director, providing consulting services to healthcare and digital television platform providers. Apelzin also held various roles at TVR Communications, Splinex Technology, Inc., and Liberate Technologies, where they gained experience in product development, project management, and international expansion. In recent years, they worked as an Engineering Lead and Director of Professional Services at Icontrol Networks, overseeing software development projects and driving revenue through professional services. Currently, Apelzin is employed at Alarm.com as a Principal Engineer, developing applications for home automation systems.

Stew Apelzin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Business, and Electronic Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in the years 1977 to 1979. Prior to that, they received their High School Diploma in Mathematics from Petaluma High School between 1971 and 1974. Later, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1982 to 1983, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, although the degree remains incomplete.
