Edgar Yamamoto

Edgar (Ed) Yamamoto currently serves as the Director, Airbus - Fleet Captain at Alaska Airlines, overseeing strategic priorities and tactical execution for Airbus fleet types while leading various pilots within the organization. Prior to this role, Yamamoto was the Standards Chief Pilot and 119 Chief Pilot at Hawaiian Airlines, managing the Flight Standards team and overseeing all operational policies and procedures. Yamamoto’s extensive flying experience includes various pilot roles within Hawaiian Airlines and prior positions at Cathay Pacific Airways, EVA Air, and Pinnacle Airlines, where responsibilities included serving as a Technical and Safety Pilot. Yamamoto holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
