Lead Project Controls Specialist/scheduler at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium

Canyon Sotiropoulos, PMP, has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Canyon began their career in 1999 as a Repair Specialist at World Access, Inc, where they dealt with fine wood furniture import and repair. Canyon then worked as a Construction Laborer at Rimmer and Roeter Construction, Inc in 2004, and later as a Project Engineer at Skanska USA Building Inc from 2006 to 2008.

In 2008, Canyon joined Contech Services, Inc as a Project & Field Engineer, where they managed projects for a commercial concrete repair/retrofit, epoxy floor coating, and seismic joint covering contractor. Canyon continued their project management role at Recurve Inc., a small residential contractor specializing in home performance retrofits, from 2010 to 2011.

Canyon also worked as an Intern at Earthship Biotecture in 2010 and as a Lead Field Technician at Advanced Home Energy from April 2011 to August 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Energy Efficiency Crew Lead, Interim Project Manager, and Inspection Coordinator at SolarCity, overseeing home performance retrofits for a large residential photovoltaic install and energy efficiency contractor.

Canyon's most recent role was at Nanuq/AFC, where they worked as a Project Engineer from January 2014 to October 2017. Currently, they are the Lead Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) since October 2017.

Throughout their career, Canyon has gained extensive experience in project management, particularly in the areas of home performance retrofits, commercial construction, and repair. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Canyon's expertise and skills make him a valuable asset in managing and coordinating various projects.

Canyon Sotiropoulos, PMP completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Central Washington University from 2003 to 2006. In December 2018, Canyon also obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute - Alaska Chapter.
