Joshua Laker

Joshua Laker has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Joshua is currently working as a Facilities Project Manager at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) since January 2022. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2022, they served as a Chemical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), where they contributed to various chemical engineering projects.

Before joining NSWC, Joshua worked as a Chemical Engineering Intern at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from December 2017 to May 2018. Their responsibilities included researching and testing the malfunctioning SMAW rocket launchers, performing tensile and impact testing, and exploring new polymers.

In 2017, they held the position of Focus Leader at California Baptist University, where they taught and mentored first-year college students. Joshua conducted weekly classes and organized biweekly events to facilitate their success.

Joshua also gained practical experience as an Intern/Summer Hire at Hilcorp in 2017, where they performed maintenance and general labor at the Milne Point oil field. Additionally, they participated in an intern program and contributed to developing an efficient approach for dealing with scale, optimizing cost-savings and control.

During their time as a Mobilization Intern at California Baptist University from 2016 to 2017, Joshua played a vital role in recruiting students for the school's international service program. Their responsibilities included planning and executing campus-wide events, cold calling students, and managing sensitive information in a large database. Joshua also facilitated collaboration among different departments to accomplish shared tasks.

Joshua kick-started their career as an Electrical Apprentice at LAKER ELECTRIC INC from 2012 to 2015, acquiring practical knowledge in the electrical field.
