Julianna Fuqua

Julianna Fuqua has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Julianna began their career as an Engineering Intern at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Student Worker/Student Assistant at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. Julianna gained further experience as a Community Desk Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology Housing & Residential Services from 2011 to 2012.

Julianna then joined the University of Colorado Denver|Anschutz Medical Campus Disability Resources & Services in 2013 as a Student Worker/Assistive Technology specialist. After that, they returned to ANTHC in 2014, initially as a Biomedical Equipment Technician. Julianna later took on the role of a Clinical Engineering Project Coordinator from 2015 to 2019. Currently, Julianna holds the position of Biomedical Engineering Technician Manager at ANTHC, a role they have been in since March 2019.

Julianna Fuqua completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in the period from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage from 2014 to 2016.

In addition to their degrees, Julianna has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they became certified as a Baxter-Gambro Prismaflex Dialysis Service; in 2017, they completed Technical Training & In-Service for the WRO300/H and Basic Water Systems through Mar Cor Purification, received Vein Illumination Skills training from AccuVein, and became MX 400-800 Series Patient Monitor - Biomed certified through the Philips Healthcare Academy. In 2018, Julianna acquired the certifications of 2008 Series Technical Training Level II from Fresenius Medical Care North America and Project Management Essentials for Non-Project Managers from Management Concepts. Additionally, they completed the certifications of 2008T Technical Training Level I and 2008T to K Technical Training Level I from Fresenius Medical Care North America in 2017.
