Vamshi Bhoopalam

Vamshi Bhoopalam serves as the Director of Engineering at Alation since March 2021, previously holding the role of Senior Engineering Manager. Prior experience includes positions at AppDynamics from March 2014 to January 2021, where Vamshi progressed from Principal Software Engineer to Sr. Manager of Platform Engineering. A noteworthy project during this period involved developing a Python-based Conversational AI assistant for R42 Group, leading the initiative from ideation to Beta within four weeks, which included integration with Twilio and IBM Watson services for healthcare applications. Vamshi's earlier career features roles at BMC Software and Saama Technologies, along with an internship at Tata Consultancy Services. Vamshi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University and studied at National College in Bangalore.
