Oliver Buchholz

Oliver Buchholz has a strong background in public affairs and communications. Oliver currently serves as the Head of Public Affairs at ALBA, a leading environmental services and raw materials supplier in Europe. Prior to this role, they worked as the Head of Communications at European Bioplastics and held the position of Communications Manager at the same company. Oliver also served as the Speaker for the Working Group on Health at VENRO, an umbrella organization for development and humanitarian aid non-governmental organizations. Oliver gained advocacy experience as an Advocacy Officer at DSW and started their career in the communications field as an Account Executive and Assistant Account Executive at Edelman. Oliver Buchholz has also had internships at fischerAppelt, the German Federal Parliament, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), and the Embassy of Peru in Germany.

Oliver Buchholz began their education in the year 2000 at Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen, where they completed basic studies in Law and continued until 2002. Following this, from 2002 to 2004, they pursued basic studies in Political Science at the same institution. In 2004, Oliver participated in the Erasmus Program and studied Political Science and Regional Studies at Universitat Autònoma Barcelona for a year. Oliver then returned to Germany and enrolled at Freie Universität Berlin, where they obtained their Diplom degree in Political Science from 2005 to 2009.
