KMarie King, MD, MS, MBA, currently serves as the Chief of Surgery and Chair of the Department at Albany Medical Center since September 2021. Previous roles include Chief of Surgery and Professor of Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine, as well as Surgical Quality Officer at Grady Health System. KMarie has extensive surgical experience from the Mayo Clinic, where roles included Associate Professor and Consultant. KMarie completed general surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh and advanced training in hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery. Additionally, KMarie has military experience as a medical lab specialist during Operation Desert Storm. Educationally, KMarie holds an MD from Washington University in St. Louis, multiple master's degrees, and an MBA from Brandeis University.
