Kaki Dimock

Kaki Dimock has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They have held various positions in different organizations.

In 1998, Kaki Dimock worked as the At-Risk Youth Programs Manager at the King County Superior Court. They were responsible for managing and developing multiple programs aimed at assisting at-risk youth. This included budget management and supervising a team of staff and contract employees.

From 2005 to 2009, Kaki Dimock served as the VP of Community Initiatives at People's Regional Opportunity Program. In this role, they provided leadership and direction for various social service programs, including youth development and health promotion. They also oversaw budgeting and established collaborations with community partners and funders.

Kaki Dimock then became the Executive Director at the Thomas Jefferson Area Coalition For The Homeless from 2009 to 2016. They led the coalition in long-range strategic planning to address homelessness and coordinated the allocation of resources. Additionally, Kaki served as a clearinghouse for best practice information and community-level data.

From 2016 to 2021, Kaki Dimock worked at the City of Charlottesville as the Director of Human Services. They provided leadership and support for various programs and initiatives, particularly in residential, foster family, and community-based services. They also acted as a policy advisor to the city manager and implemented social policy initiatives of the city council.

In 2021, Kaki Dimock joined Albemarle County as the Director of Social Services and eventually transitioned to the role of Chief Human Services Officer in 2023.

During their career, Kaki Dimock has also pursued their passion for art and worked as an artist since 2008.

Kaki Dimock completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Vassar College, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Kaki further pursued their education at Columbia University School of Social Work from 1992 to 1994, earning a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Programming and Supervision.
