Frederik Kuhn has a diverse work experience. Frederik currently holds the position of Vice President of Lithium Recycling Growth Platform at Albemarle Corporation since January 2023. Prior to their current role, Frederik worked at BASF from 2012 to 2022, where they held various positions including Director of Battery Recycling, Director of Finance in the Automotive Catalysts and Automotive Coatings sectors, and Chief of Staff for the CFO Officer. Before joining BASF, they worked as a Consultant at Horváth from 2007 to 2008. Frederik also has experience in academia, having worked as a Doctoral Research Fellow in Finance at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management from 2009 to 2011.

Frederik Kuhn holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Accounting and Finance from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in International Management from the University of Mannheim, starting in 2001 and graduating in 2007. In 2005 and 2006, they also pursued a Master of Science in Business Administration at the University of Florida, focusing on Accounting and Statistics. Frederik Kuhn began their educational journey by earning an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Malvern College, which they completed from 1999 to 2001.
