Melanie Sortland

Melanie Sortland is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community initiatives, events, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Community Initiatives & Events at Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation since January 2019, Melanie has successfully leveraged expertise developed over a significant career, including a directorial role at Canadian Pacific Railway where leadership of community investment programs enhanced brand awareness and reputation. As the owner of XO Ice Cream & Waffles, a business focused on quality products and community engagement, Melanie applies skills in leadership, marketing, and risk management.
