Steve Shon

Steve Shon, P.Eng., PMP, is a Wellbore Engineer at the Alberta Energy Regulator, with extensive experience in engineering and project management within the oil and gas sector. Previously, Steve served as an Innovation Engineer at Phoenix Energy Services Inc., where technical feasibility studies were conducted to assess innovative equipment aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As President of Shon Enterprises Ltd., project management skills were utilized to successfully complete building renovations and maintain commercial properties. Additional roles include Well Abandonment Specialist at AER, Production Operations Instructor at SAIT, and Production Manager at GS E&R, with a robust background in reservoir engineering, optimization, and operations management across various companies. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Data Analytics Certificate from SAIT.
