Mel McEvoy is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Manager of Information Technology at the Alberta Securities Commission since March 2016, overseeing the IT function for the regulatory agency responsible for securities legislation in Alberta. Prior to this role, Mel held positions such as Team Lead for Corporate Application Support at Penn West, Manager of Information Systems at Macleod Dixon LLP, and Application Support Specialist at the City of Calgary. Early career experiences include roles as an Analyst Programmer at Lehman Brothers and Philips, as well as a Systems Engineer at EDS Group. Mel holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, completed between 1981 and 1986.
