Derrick Perry

Derrick Perry has diverse work experience in the field of social services. In 2019, they joined Albertina Kerr as the Chief Program Officer. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, they served as the Deputy Director at the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services. From 2004 to 2015, they were the Program Director at Haynes Family of Programs. Before that, from 1998 to 2004, Perry worked as a Program Director at Crittenton Services, where they supervised a team and managed various aspects of an adolescent program. From 1989 to 1998, they served as a Program Manager at the Seneca Center for Children and Families, where they developed a psychiatric treatment program and served as an In-Home Support Counselor for foster care.

Derrick Perry holds a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from California State University-Dominguez Hills. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology - Clinical, Counseling and Applied Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to their academic education, Derrick has also earned certifications as a Certified Group Home Administrator from the State of California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division and as a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer from Cornell University.
