John Scuccimarra

John Scuccimarra, an accomplished Albertsons Companies leader who has consistently demonstrated deep expertise in operations, marketing, and merchandising. Over the course of his career, he has led high-performing teams, driven strategic initiatives, and delivered results across multiple divisions.

As the President of the Portland Division, John oversees 138 Albertsons and Safeway stores. These stores have served Oregon and Washington state communities since the 1950s.

John began his career in 1986 as a bagger at Star Market and steadily rose through the ranks. His leadership roles have included Store Director, District Manager, Director and General Manager of Sales and Merchandising at Star Market, and Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising at Shaw's. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the Southwest Division, his strategic vision and operational expertise have driven significant growth and innovation.

Raised in a traditional Italian family, John’s love for food and family has always been at the heart of his life. He fondly remembers Sunday lunches that began at noon, bringing together all family members for hours of conversation and connection. These meals created unforgettable memories and continue to inspire John’s passion for bringing people together around the joys of food. He believes that sharing meals is not just about nourishment but about fostering well-being and celebrating the bonds that unite us.
