Monica Sanchez-Aguilar

Monica Sanchez-Aguilar is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Think Academy Auxiliary Programs at Albuquerque Academy since June 2025. Additionally, Monica is a Board Member at New Mexico Jazz Workshop and previously held the position of Manager of Recruitment for the Scholars Program at the Golden Apple Foundation from December 2023 to June 2025. Monica has extensive teaching experience as a faculty member at Central New Mexico Community College, instructing students in the Alternative Licensure Program, and has been involved in governance as a Board Member at South Valley Preparatory School. Serving in multiple leadership roles, Monica was the Executive Director and Principal at Nuestros Valores Charter School and the Executive Director at Mark Armijo Academy until May 2023. Monica holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from New Mexico Highlands University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from The University of New Mexico.
