Ellen König

Ellen König has a diverse range of work experience in various technology and data-related roles. In their current position as Head of Engineering at alcemy, they oversee engineering operations. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Data Engineer/Consultant at Thoughtworks.

In their previous role as Head of Data Engineering at WhereIsMyTransport, Ellen established and led a team of data engineers, analysts, scientists, and GIS analysts. Ellen was responsible for the department's strategy, budget, roadmap, and line management. Additionally, they served as a Senior Data Engineer at WhereIsMyTransport before being promoted to the head position.

Ellen König has a strong educational background in both computer science and environmental science. Ellen obtained a Diplom (MSc) degree in Informatik (Computer Science) from the University of Potsdam from 2002 to 2010. In addition, Ellen pursued further education in Environmental Science and is currently working towards a Master of Science (MS) degree from FernUniversität in Hagen, starting in 2022 and expected to complete in 2025.
