Steven Brunton

Co-founder and technical consultant on machine learning and AI at Alchemai

Steven Brunton began their career in 2005 as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Caltech. In 2006, they joined Princeton University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they worked with Clancy Rowley developing unsteady fluid dynamic models suitable for closed-loop feedback control. In 2012, Steven joined the University of Washington as a Professor, and then held the roles of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Acting Assistant Professor. In 2017, they co-founded Alchemai, where they serve as a technical consultant on machine learning and AI.

Steven Brunton received their high school diploma from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in 2002. Steven then attended Caltech, where they earned a B.S. in Mathematics in 2006. Steven continued their education at Princeton University, where they earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 2012.
