Wes Underwood

Wes Underwood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Wes started their career as a Federal Work Aid at Platt College, where they assisted students in learning design programs. Wes then moved on to Apple, where they worked as a Family Room Specialist and Genius Support, helping customers with iPods, iPhones, and performing personal setups and RAM installs on new computers. Wes also taught daily customer training sessions and troubleshooted device issues at the Genius Bar. After that, Wes joined v.2 Consulting, Inc. as a Lead Training Partner and Consultant, providing support for networking, VPN, Macintosh Server, and Macintosh and iOS clients. Wes then worked at Coinbase as an IT Support Engineer, deploying IT and AV hardware infrastructure for multiple offices and providing technical support and new-hire onboarding for a rapidly growing staff. In this role, they also served as a Technical Director and Operator for live events, including investor presentations and town halls. Currently, Wes is working at Alchemy as a Senior IT Support Engineer.

Wes Underwood received their Associates degree in Graphic Design & Multimedia from Platt College, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. Wes then pursued further education and obtained a Bachelors degree in Design in New Media from the Academy of Art University, completing their studies from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Wes has obtained several certifications, including "Apple Certified Support Professional 10.12" and "Apple Certified Macintosh Technician" in 2014, "Apple Certified Trainer" in 2014, "Apple Certified Technical Coordinator 10.9" in 2014, "Aperture 3 End User Exam" and "iWork '09 Level 1 End User Exam" in 2011, and "Final Cut Pro 7 Level 1 End User Exam" in 2010. Wes also holds a certification in "Learning Git and GitHub" from LinkedIn, which they obtained in March 2023. Lastly, Wes has an unspecified certification as an "Apple Certified iOS Technician."
