Faraaz Palekar

Faraaz Palekar is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the electrical engineering field, currently serving as the Global Engineering Manager - Electrical at Alcoa since May 2013. Faraaz plays a pivotal role in the Asset Management team, overseeing electrical maintenance and technology across all Alcoa locations. Previous roles at Alcoa include Principal Electrical Engineer, providing leadership in power systems and instrumentation, and Senior Electrical Engineer, supervising technical support teams to optimize refinery operations. Prior to Alcoa, Faraaz worked as an Electrical Engineer at BHP Billiton, focusing on electrical improvements in alumina production, and gained early experience as a vacation engineer at BAE Systems Australia and BHP. Faraaz holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia and completed a program in Business Administration at Melbourne Business School in 2019.
