Alireza Mirsepassi

Alireza Mirsepassi, Ph.D., has extensive experience in research and development within the optics and photonics fields, currently serving as the Director of Research & Development at Alcon. Previous roles include Associate Director and Senior Principal Engineer in R&D also at Alcon. Early in the career, Alireza gained valuable experience as an R&D Intern at Helixis, a company that was later acquired by Illumina. Alireza holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a Master's degree in the same field, both obtained from the University of California, Irvine, with studies conducted from 2007 to 2012.
