Joyita Roy, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Alcon since April 2023, with a strong background in bioengineering and biomedical research. Previously, Joyita served as a Graduate Research Assistant and PhD Candidate at The University of Texas at Arlington, where research focused on in vitro modeling to address posterior capsule opacification post-cataract surgery. Additional experience includes teaching tissue engineering and medical device design, as well as internships in forensic science, cancer biology, microbiology, pharmaceutical sciences, and human genetics. Joyita holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, along with a BTech and MTech in Biotechnology from Amity University.
