Neela Prajapati

Neela Prajapati, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Associate I in the Manufacturing Science & Technology at Alcon, where responsibilities include roles as Product Steward and Product Engineer since November 2021. Prior experience includes a Research Engineer position in Neurosurgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and participation in the LBRN 2021 Virtual Summer Program through Pine Biotech. Neela's academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Technology in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Andhra University, and a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from the College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences. Additional teaching and engineering roles span various institutions in Nepal and include designing modular operating theater layouts and managing production and maintenance in health technology.
