Yifan Wang

Yifan Wang has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They began their career as a Tutor at New Sight Education in 2016. In the same year, they also worked as a Product Project Engineer at Linamar Corporation for a short period.

In 2017, Yifan took on the role of a Material Engineer Intern at Kartech. The following year, they joined USC Viterbi School of Engineering as an Aerodynamics Engineer for the FSAE Racing Team. They were responsible for designing aerodynamic parts and manufacturing them using carbon fibre composite material.

Yifan also worked as a Teaching Assistant at USC from 2018 to 2019. They evaluated and recorded students' homework and communicated with professors about the overall class performance. During this time, they also served as a Research Assistant for two projects: Mathematica Controls Tool and Swiss Roll Combustor. They developed control system design tools and experimented on spiral heat exchangers.

From 2019 to 2020, Yifan worked as a Project Engineer at Mengfu Education and Technology Co., where they developed technological solutions for social and environmental issues. They utilized AutoCAD and Fusion 360 for mechanical structure design and manufacturing.

In 2020, Yifan interned as a Full Stack Engineer at Gupta Permold Corporation. They developed an e-commerce website, implemented scripts for manipulating the backend database, and enabled free shipping based on product specifications.

From 2019 to 2021, Yifan served as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. They processed images captured by UAVs using OpenCV and Python-based algorithms. They also optimized filter algorithms and implemented machine learning techniques for analyzing canal images.

In 2021, Yifan worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Lobbie, contributing to the development of various features for the company. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Alcove Technologies, Inc. since 2022.
