Rutger van Den Engel

Rutger van den Engel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rutger started their career as an intern in Marketing & Sales at Lantmännen Unibake. Rutger then worked as an intern in Food and Beverage at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. After that, they served as a Bestuurslid and Algemeen Coördinator at SV Amphitrion. Rutger then joined ABN AMRO Lease as a Project Lead. Rutger later became a Business Coach at Enactus, guiding student teams in social startup organizations. Rutger then joined Delta Lloyd and held multiple roles, including Management Trainee, Manager of Marketing & Distribution, and Head of Customer Data, Data Analytics & CRM. Rutger then transitioned to Accenture the Netherlands as a Manager in the Financial Services Industry. Rutger then worked at LeasePlan Nederland as a Senior Product Manager, focusing on Digital Transformation. Rutger returned to LeasePlan as a Senior Product Manager and later as a Product Lead and Group Product Manager, leading global teams in developing product strategies and roadmaps for pricing and product configuration. Rutger'scurrent position is as a Global Product Lead at Ayvens, overseeing the Product Configuration and Pricing capability.

Rutger van den Engel has a diverse education history. Rutger completed a pre-MSc program in International Business at Zuyd Hogeschool in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in International Business with a focus on Marketing and Finance from Maastricht University in 2011. Rutger also completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree at Hotel Management School Maastricht, specializing in Food & Beverage, Business Accounting, and Event Management between 2004 and 2010.

In terms of further professional development, Rutger completed a Leadership Development Program at Nyenrode Business University from 2016 to 2017. In 2019, they attended Growth Tribe to specialize in Growth Hacking.

Additionally, Rutger has obtained the certifications of PSPO 2 Product Owner from Scrum.org in 2022 and Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) from the same institution in 2017.
