Eduardo Mas

Eduardo Mas has a diverse work experience in various roles related to quality and corporate responsibility. Eduardo is currently working as a Quality and Corporate Responsibility Director at ALDI ESPAÑA since May 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Professor of Quality Management and Food Safety at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from September 2018.

Before their academic role, Mas served as a Quality Director at Nice Fruit from September 2017 to May 2020. Eduardo also worked as the Head of Quality and Sustainability Intrapreneur at Codorníu Raventós, the world's oldest wine company, from April 2010 to September 2017. In this role, they oversaw the implementation of quality and sustainability policies across eight wineries and achieved significant reductions in CO2 emissions.

Mas has also held positions in the University of Barcelona as an Associate Professor of Quality and Innovation in Food Industries from September 2008 to April 2010. Eduardo gained extensive experience in the field of food quality and safety as the Food Quality and Safety Management Director at Mérieux NutriSciences from February 2001 to April 2010. During this time, they managed a team of consultants and focused on delivering customer solutions.

Their early career includes roles at Danone, where they started as a Research and Development Trainee in 1990 and progressed to become an R&D Project Leader Engineer and Technician. Eduardo worked on projects related to fermentation dynamics and cheese development.

Eduardo Mas holds a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Sustainable Business from the University of St.Gallen and Business School Lausanne (BSL), which they obtained in 2013-2014. Eduardo also has a Master's degree in Business Management & Direction from Universitat de Barcelona, attained in 1999-2000. In addition, they completed a degree in Agronomic Engineering with a specialization in Food Engineering from Universitat de Lleida from 1990-1995. Furthermore, Eduardo pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Food Biotechnology from the University of Reading in 1989-1990 and obtained an Agronomic Technical Engineer degree in Food Industries from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1985-1989. Eduardo also holds additional certifications, including a Certificate in English as a Medium of Instruction from Universitat Pompeu Fabra - Barcelona (obtained year: 2020) and a Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment (obtained year: 1988).
