Dustin Prescott

Dustin Prescott has a diverse work experience in the power and utility industry. Dustin is currently the Director of Business Development - Power & Utility at Aldridge Electric, starting in November 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded OpenGait Prosthetics, Inc. in January 2019 and served as the Co-Founder/President until December 2021, where they focused on product development, prototyping, and testing, as well as business model development, branding, marketing, and website development.

Between October 2019 and November 2020, they worked as a Federal Strategic Account Manager at Schneider Electric, supporting the United States Air Force and Space Force by leveraging the company's products and solutions to optimize and harden base infrastructure and operations.

From January 2017 to October 2019, Dustin served as the Sales & Marketing Director - Power Grids Grid Integration at ABB, where they developed sales strategies, coached project pursuit teams, and identified new solution offerings. Prior to that, they held several roles at ABB, including Senior Sales Specialist - Substations, OEM Account Executive, OEM Sales Engineer, and Sales Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for negotiating project contracts, creating solutions for grid integration projects, driving sales, identifying new opportunities, and providing technical sales support.

Before their career in the power and utility industry, Dustin worked as a Metallurgical Lab Technician at Caterpillar from May 2006 to May 2007, where they aided engineers in failure analysis of metal parts and analyzed weld failures.

Dustin Prescott completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where they attended from 2002 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from NC State Poole College of Management, which they completed between 2015 and 2017. The field of study for their MBA program was not specified.
