Lu Shan

Lu Shan has a diverse work experience in the field of antibody discovery and protein engineering. They are currently working as a Senior Director at Alector, leading the Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering team since March 2023. Prior to that, Lu Shan worked as a Director at Alector from January 2022 to April 2023. Before joining Alector, they served as an Associate Director at Denali Therapeutics, focusing on Antibody Engineering and Discovery, from June 2020 to January 2022. Lu Shan also worked at AstraZeneca for nearly 9 years, conducting research in Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering. They began their professional career at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, initially as a Scientist and later as a Senior Scientist. Lu Shan holds experience as a Graduate Student at Stanford University from 2000 to 2005.

Lu Shan received a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from Stanford University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a BS degree in Chemistry, Computer Science, and Math from Lipscomb University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000.
