Silke Appel-Dingemanse has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Silke currently holds the position of Senior Director of Business Development at Alentis Therapeutics. Prior to this role, they worked at Novartis for many years, holding several senior positions. Silke was the Global Head of Due Diligence Oncology & Hematology Development BD&L/M&A, where they played a key role in assessing and recommending external opportunities to the Novartis Executive Management. Silke also led the Due Diligence Oncology Development BD&L/M&A team and was responsible for conducting robust and timely evaluations of potential deals. Additionally, they held various roles within Novartis, including Head of Due Diligence Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals and Head of Due Diligence Respiratory Franchise BD&L. Prior to their tenure at Novartis, they were a Senior Global Program Team Director for BD&L in the Primary Care Franchise. Silke has also served as the Maternity Deputy World Wide Head of BD&L Search & Evaluation Respiratory. Silke'searlier roles include Senior Scientific Expert in Development Licensing & Evaluation and Section Head for Global Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacodynamics Neuroscience at Novartis. Before joining Novartis, Silke Appel-Dingemanse worked as a Research Scientist in Clinical Pharmacology at Sandoz Pharma AG. Silke began their career as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Leiden University after completing their Ph.D. at Sandoz Pharma AG, Switzerland & University of Bonn-Endenich, Germany. Silke also has experience working as a Pharmacist at Löwen Pharmacy, Germany.

Silke Appel-Dingemanse holds a PhD (Doctor Rer. Nat.) from The University of Bonn, which they obtained in 1991. Prior to that, they completed their studies of Pharmacy at The University of Freiburg from 1982 to 1987. Silke also studied Pharmacy at the University of Strasbourg in France for a year in 1981 and at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany. In 1987, they received a Registration as Pharmacist (Pharm. D.) from Land Baden-Württemberg Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart.

In terms of additional certifications, Silke Appel-Dingemanse obtained a Henley Certificate in Management from Henley Business School in 2001 and a European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM) Pharmaceutical R&D Certification from the University of Basel in 1995. Silke also received a Certification as Pharmacist (Pharm. D., Approbation als Apotheker) from Land Baden-Württemberg Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart in 1987.
