Jean-Paul Melko is a skilled lawyer with extensive experience in various areas of law, including tax litigation, criminal law, and immigration law. Currently serving as an Avocat and Referral Program Manager at Alepin Gauthier Avocats since May 2014, Melko has previously worked at Simon & Associés, Avocats, focusing on civil and tax litigation. Additional experience includes a position as a Student-at-law at the Supreme Court of Canada and as a Tax Opposition Agent at Revenu Québec. Melko holds a Common Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Ottawa, a Baccalauréat en droit (LL.B.) from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and a Certificate of Proficiency in English for Professional Communication from McGill University, alongside completing professional training at École du Barreau.

Alepin Gauthier Avocats was founded in 1978 by Me François Alepin. Me Alepin is and has always been at the service of local entrepreneurs. A few years later, Me Brigitte Gauthier joined the firm and quickly became a partner, thus founding the family law department. The firm now has close to 120 team members, including senior lawyers who have been practicing here for more than 30 years.
