Carla Demello

Carla DeMello, MBA, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Midwest Region Practice Leader for Employee Benefits at Alera Group, Inc., a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, Carla was with Alera Group (GCG Financial) from May 2017 to March 2023, where responsibilities included serving as President and Vice President of Operations in the Employee Benefits division, focusing on team growth, infrastructure development, and client experiences. Earlier experience includes a directorial role at Land of Lincoln Health, overseeing operations for a nonprofit health co-op, and various managerial positions at UNITE HERE HEALTH, where strategic development and benefits analysis were key responsibilities. Carla holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Benefits Administration & Compliance from DePaul University.
