Daria Kalinina has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Daria began their career in 2003 as a Materials Chemist at Trent University, where they performed synthesis, purification and characterization of sol-gels and developed new protocols for coating silicon wafers. In 2004, they became a Research Assistant at York University, where they designed novel multi-step syntheses, isolated and purified multinuclear ruthenium and iron complexes, and characterized them using modern analytical instrumentation. Additionally, they trained and supervised junior chemists, presented results at national conferences, and evaluated students' work. In 2014, they joined Alera Labs, LLC as a Lab Manager and Lead Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for method development and method validation, routine testing of customer samples, execution of validation protocols, and documentation of all work. Daria also performed various analytical testing, wrote SOPs, validation protocols and reports, and regularly calibrated and maintained analytical equipment.
Daria Kalinina's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from York University between 2006 and 2012, a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from York University between 2004 and 2006, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Chemistry from Trent University between 2000 and 2003. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Chemical Handling and Waste Disposal (2008), Compressed Gas Cylinder Training (2004), Fire Safety Training (2004), and WHMIS II (2003).
