Job Description We are looking for a successful leader to play an essential  role in the growth of Alertus’ Channel Partner business. This business is a critical piece of Alertus’ long-term growth strategy.  The Regional Sales Manager will report to the VP, Channel Sales - North America  is responsible for leading the Channel Partner business in their assigned territory. This is a position where building strong relationships and maintaining high-performing Channel Partners  are the keys to success. Our ideal candidate is someone who can build and manage relationships and support all aspects of the sales cycle.

A Day in the Life:

  • Oversee and manage all existing regional Channel Partners within your territory
  • Clearly define Channel Partners expectations of Alertus and Alertus’ expectations of Channel Partners. Hold Channel Partners accountable to these expectations
  • Support Channel Partners efforts of selling Alertus’ products and technologies to existing and new end-users
  • Identify and onboard new Channel Partners
  • Ensure all Channel Partners are completing and receiving their training certifications
  • Ensure all Channel Partners correctly register all leads / opportunities through Alertus’ Vendor Portal
  • Drive performance of regional Channel Partners against established revenue and activity goals to achieve optimal success
  • Revamp the current Alertus regional VAR standards including, but not limited to, metrics, goals, agreements, expectations, etc.
  • Ensure all regional VARs are educated and trained on the Alertus Emergency Mass Notification System
  • Oversee the proper usage of marketing collateral and Alertus branding established for regional VARs are consistently used and updated

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience hunting/prospecting for new business
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive under pressure
  • A willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Background or training in a consultative/solution- selling environment
  • 2+ years of channel sales experience, preferably in IT or technology-based solutions
  • Prospecting/New Business generation focus
  • Channel Sales/Partner Management experience
  • Experience in selling, presenting, and demonstrating software and technology products or services
