Alain Jordan began their career in 1998 as an R&D Engineer at the Microsystems Laboratory of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. In 1999, they joined EndoArt SA as Head of Technology & Production, where they were responsible for setting up and validating the Easyband production line in Lausanne, as well as transferring the Easyband production to an outside manufacturer's Moroccan plant. Additionally, they were the R&D Project Manager for Easyband, a remote-controlled adjustable gastric banding system, and FloWatch-PAB, a remote-controlled adjustable pulmonary artery banding system, both of which received CE-Mark in 2005 and 2003, respectively. Alain also holds three US Patents. In 2007, they joined Allergan Medical Sàrl as General Manager - Director R&D, Technology & Production, where they were responsible for the Lausanne site and its team of 29 people, as well as developing a revolutionary adjustable gastric banding system. Finally, in 2011, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Aleva Neurotherapeutics SA, where they were the Program Manager of the directSTIM Deep Brain Stimulation System, an innovative active implantable device used for treatment of Movement Disorders diseases (CE-Mark in 2019). Alain was also responsible for Resource Management (Human Resource, Infrastructure and Finance), as well as Supervision of R&D and Manufacturing.
Alain Jordan attended Universit\u00e9 de Neuch\u00e2tel from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor in Microengineering. Alain then continued their studies at Ecole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne, where they obtained an MSc in Microengineering in 1998, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1999. In 2013, they completed the High Performance Leadership Program at IMD.
