Kurt Pfaender has extensive work experience in IT and project management roles. Kurt started their career as the Category Team Leader for the 300 Together Project at UPM-Kymmene, where they achieved significant cost savings in data communications services and servers and storage. Kurt later served as the Director of Regional Procurement North America, leading cost-improvement efforts and building an integrated North American procurement organization. At UPM-Kymmene, Kurt also worked as the Project Director for Global Sourcing, overseeing the integration of UPM-Raflatac into the company's global sourcing and managing a team of sourcing managers. Kurt then joined Quinn Emanuel as the IT Manager for the US East Coast and Midwest, redirecting the IT department to a customer-centric focus. Kurt eventually became the IT Director for Europe and the Middle East, leading the deployment of state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and managing an international team across multiple locations.
Kurt Pfaender completed an MBA in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University between 2000 and 2002. Prior to this, they attended IHK Trade School to pursue a degree in Industrial Clerk, focusing on the industry field.
