Wenna Li started their work experience in 2015 as a Fashion Graduate Mentor at Savannah College of Art and Design. Later in the same year, they joined Alexander Wang LLC as a Textile Design Trainee.

Wenna Li completed their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion and Accessory Design from Shanghai University of Engineering Science. wenna attended this institution from 2009 until 2013. Later, they pursued their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, attending from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, they obtained additional certifications in June 2014, becoming an Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI. Moreover, in July 2011, they received certification as an Adobe Certified Designer from the company "Adobe".
