Harshit Mahapatra

Harshit Mahapatra has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of software development and research. Harshit began their career as a Summer Research Fellow at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, where they studied dimensionality reduction of high dimensional datasets and devised an algorithm for the same. Harshit then moved on to Aalto University as a Research Internship, where they contributed to the development team of Bayesian Optimization for Structure Search (BOSS), a python package that uses Bayesian machine learning. Harshit then joined Alexandra Instituttet as a Student Programmer in the Health IT Lab, where they built a health-data ingestion pipeline and an on-premise Kubernetes cluster. Harshit also played a role in maintaining the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

At Aarhus University, Harshit worked as a Student Programmer initially, where they contributed to the development of a typescript library to convert measurements taken from health and fitness devices into FHIR format. Harshit also contributed to the development of a react-native app for diabetes patients and implemented backend microservices for Health IT systems in collaboration with the Health IT Lab at Alexandra Institute. Later, they became a Research Software Engineer at Aarhus University, where they developed a Rancher based Kubernetes platform for Alexandra Institute, authentication and authorization systems using keycloak and oauth2 proxy, and microservices for standardizing and storing measurements taken from Android and iOS devices.

Currently, Harshit Mahapatra is working as a Software Developer at Alexandra Instituttet, where they are involved in various backend development projects, such as event-driven backend systems and services to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning models. Harshit is also responsible for building and maintaining react native-based health apps.

Harshit Mahapatra pursued their education in a chronological sequence. Harshit completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Information Technology from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, from 2014 to 2018. Following that, they enrolled at Aarhus University from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.

Additionally, in February 2016, Harshit Mahapatra acquired certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates. The institution granting this certification was not specified.
