Melissa Thiringer

Melissa Thiringer is an experienced museum educator and founder of the educational brand Melissa in De Nile, focusing on Ancient Egypt and modern archaeology through various social media platforms. Currently serving as a Museum Educator for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, since June 2022, Melissa has also contributed to organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution as a genealogist and worked as an education assistant for Mummies and Masterpieces Inc. Previous roles include educational internships and program management within archaeology-focused initiatives. Melissa holds a Master's degree in Egyptian Art and Archaeology from the University of Memphis, complemented by undergraduate studies at Hofstra University and UCL.
