Michael Blackowicz

Michael Blackowicz currently serves as the Director of US HEOR Real World Evidence at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Michael held several positions at Baxter International Inc., including Senior Principal and Senior Manager in Health Economics and Outcomes Research. Earlier experience includes roles at Clinical Outcomes Solutions as a Research Scientist and a Research Associate, as well as academic positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where Michael was involved as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant, and was a NIOSH Epidemiology Doctoral Research Fellow. Michael has also completed internships in the pharmaceutical sector at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and TAP Pharmaceuticals. Michael holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with a Master’s degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northern Illinois University.
