Sushma Jassal

Sushma Jassal has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as Director of Manufacturing Technology at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since February 2014, where previous roles included Associate Director and Senior Manager positions in Drug Substance Manufacturing. Prior to Alexion, Sushma worked as a consultant for Lubris LLC and TRB Chemedica International SA. Experience also includes serving as Cell Culture Manager at BioUetikon, where responsibilities involved setting up and managing a cGMP Cell Culture department. Additional roles include Senior Development Scientist at Intercytex Ltd and Team Leader of Cell Biology & Virology at Cobra Biomanufacturing Plc., contributing to the development and manufacturing of biotherapeutic substances. Sushma holds a PhD in Virology from the University of Dundee, an MSc in Biotechnology (distinction), and a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from Abertay University.
