Nicholas Leitner

Nicholas Leitner is an accomplished professional in the field of chemistry with extensive experience in product development and applied research. Currently serving as the Manager of Product Development & Applied Research at Alexium International Group Limited since August 2014, Nicholas leads a diverse research team focused on the development and analysis of thermal management and flame retardant coatings for consumer home goods. Previous roles include Manager of Applied Research and Principal Research and Development Chemist, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing formulation processes, ensuring quality control, and advancing product platforms. Prior to Alexium, Nicholas held positions at Milliken & Company as an Advanced Technical Associate and Technical Associate, where contributions included synthesizing novel polymeric colorants and promoting safe working practices. Nicholas began a career in research as a Research Assistant at Furman University, where synthesis and characterization of novel chromium complexes were key activities. Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Furman University in 2010.
