Tue Johannessen has a diverse work experience in various industries. Tue began their career as an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark in 2003. In 2005, they co-founded Amminex Emissions Technology A/S, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and played a key role in the company's development and growth until 2019.
In 2019, Johannessen became the owner of AirNow ApS, a company they managed until 2020. During the same period, they also worked as a Senior Innovation Portfolio Manager at A.P. Moller - Maersk.
In 2020, Johannessen joined the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping as the Head of Maritime Application and Viability, a position they held until 2022. Following this, they joined Alfa Laval as the Vice President of Business Development for Fuel Cells & Power2X. In 2024, they assumed the role of VP, Head of Strategy & Partnerships for Electrolyzer & Fuel Cell Technologies in Alfa Laval's Energy Division. Alongside their professional engagements, they have also been a member of the Department Advisory Board at DTU Chemistry since 2011.
Tue Johannessen received their PhD in Chemical Engineering from the DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1995 to 1998.
