ALFA Romeo Design VP at Alfa Romeo

Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos has a diverse and extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Alejandro currently holds the role of ALFA ROMEO Design VP at Alfa Romeo since June 2021, where they are responsible for bringing Alfa Romeo's design dreams to life through various projects. Prior to this, they served as DACIA Design VP at Renault Group from November 2020 to May 2021.

From March 2011 to November 2020, Mesonero-Romanos worked at SEAT, S.A. as the CUPRA & SEAT Design Director, overseeing the design direction for both brands. Before joining SEAT, they had a long tenure at Renault Group, where they held various design roles. This includes being the Design Director for Renault Samsung Motors, Advanced Design Director, Design Director for the upper range, and Senior Designer.

Mesonero-Romanos began their career at Volkswagen AG as a Senior Designer from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they worked at SEAT, S.A. as a Junior Designer from 1994 to 1996. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise and contributions to the design and development of automobiles throughout their career.

Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos pursued their education in the field of design, beginning with their studies at the University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona. From 1987 to 1991, they completed their degree in Industrial Design, equipping him with a solid foundation in this field. Following this, they further honed their skills by attending the Royal College of Art from 1992 to 1994, where they specialized in Automotive Design. These educational experiences have provided Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos with a comprehensive background, combining both industrial and automotive design expertise.
