Brent May serves as the Director of the Definitive Surgical and Anaesthesia Trauma Course since November 2018, while also holding the position of Specialist Anaesthetist at Alfred Hospital since February 2012, where a diverse range of surgical specialties is catered to. Brent is an Expert Member of the Medical Commission for the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme, contributing to global medical response and safety in motorcycle sports, and is involved as the Chief Medical Officer for both the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Additional roles include Specialist Anaesthetist with the Metropolitan Anaesthetic Group and educational contributions as a Teaching Associate at Monash University. Brent's extensive experience in motorsport medicine is further exemplified by positions with Motorcycling Australia, Karting Australia, and the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Trauma Science from Queen Mary University of London and a FANZCA in Anaesthesia from the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
